Site transition begins.
Mood:  don't ask
Topic: Back In Black
I have finally started to revert the site to art only like I was saying I would.  Now there will be a short time with the site being a bit broken.  I am also going to develope a site at Behance which is a dynamic presentation site.  Hopefully I will restart and play out in May sometime with an entry to a CPSA event.  We'll see ehhh?

Slight Stall in Time
Mood:  d'oh
Topic: Back In Black

A slight stall in timing due to a change in employment which has been great however long hours and time spent correcting damages and just catching up on things lacked throughout the recession and the on and off again job availability but I am just about to round the corner of finally restarting my body of art like I used to.

Unreal circumstances prevail yet so I'll have to just play them as they come at me and we'll see what comes of it.

Doing things again.
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: 3D Palette Model and Render
Topic: Back In Black

Announcing the rebirth of, The Pencil Pallet which is posted here in an earlier post.  Since 1998 till now was not available but now,

JBProductions has made available a second version of the first pallet with a new innovation that should please us all. I will post an image in a matter of weeks of the final product.

Today after searching through files saved on disc I managed to re-model and render a version of The Pencil Palette I invented and started a small company with back in 1997.  This render looks exact to what I was selling back then before my accident and the recession.  I plan to revise it and rebuild it some time in the future.  My company J. Baker Productions sold around 90 of them around the world.  This is great the reduced sized one that cam out of the two larger sets depicted on the studio table here in this topic post.

Getting Restarted
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Progression
Topic: Back In Black

I have really transferred as much of my studio up to my one room flat as will fit in here and so now to complete a number of old works that were set off to the sideline until I decided to get back to them.

Most are not important examples but will suffice getting back into doing it again and at least re-establishing by body of works.  I have purchased the ebook version of Bernard Poulin's new book and will post a few comments here when I have completed reading it.  I have added links here to a number of colored pencil art and artist sources that some of you may or may not yet know of.  Facebook has become a very good location for CP artists to gather and chat and show samples of check out that link.

As soon as I have completed some of what has been waiting in storage.  Mind you they are not serious enough for competition but its a start.  Both time and my money are still upset from on and off again employment and are why I have only attended one recent 220 Chapter meeting however that will get better and I will again be back to connecting with our chapter here in Colorado.

Table back up!
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Table and old medium. 2012
Topic: Back In Black

I am showing this to say I am serious about coming back out and getting back to work rebuilding a new body of art. This is not my big Mayline oak table that was published in December 1997 Artists Magazine but my second side table I ordinarilly use for smaller works.  I still have the big table but it is still in storage.

Start and Stop .. start and stop.
Mood:  blue
Topic: Back In Black

I swear it's been start & stop repeatedly over and over again as soon as I make an effort to restart my efforts to create and have a new body of work to show.

The economy is doing better than in the past but then now if it isn't start and stop employment then now its my car!  Everything I do affords my ability to draw with my back turned on sufficing my ability to spend time doing it.

Just another obsticle I have to hack my way through to be able to produce art again.  I am only hindered a little again not stopping.

Attended a 220 Chapter Meeting
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: CPSA Meetings

Today I attended the first CPSA 220 Chapter meeting down south in Denver.  It has been many years since I have seen a few of them and got to meet a few new people while there.

I took along my portrait that I won from Dr. Bernard Poulin titled "My Fist Portrait" in 1998 so as to allow anyone that has never seen it in person to do so and they appreciated that very much and we spent time chatting about that and other topics having to do with the past and techniques and methods.

I played around with a tiny canvas while talking that they gave me and we in general had a great conversation.  I announced that I will be returning to the colored pencil art scene but in a slow manner until I again build up a new body of art with which to play out.

From what I gathered there are at least three ladies/members entered in the 2012 CPSA events and accepted with at least one accepted in the "Explore This!" event which is the multi-medium event created by Vera Curnow back in the mid 90's and learned that it now has taken on much more serious rewards if accepted in those yearly events.

A return to the pencil.
Mood:  not sure
Topic: Back In Black
I have this year decided to return to the colored pencil art world but quietly as I can as I still am only about to reconstitute my body of unsold art and re-beginning again.  It has been around five years or more since I actively was involved and I think it is about time I came back.
